Indian Junior Men's team will be part of the Australian Hockey league for the very first time! Check out the Indian team squad for the one of the most promising domestic league tournament in the world. The AHL will act as a stepping stone for the Junior Men's team before the Junior Hockey World Cup 2016.

Its Match time folks! The Indian Junior Men’s Hockey team is all set for the upcoming Australian Hockey League (AHL) which starts on 29th September in Perth. The Australian Hockey League is one of the most competitive national field hockey leagues around the globe. The inaugural season took place in the year 1991. Teams from India, Malaysia and New Zealand will feature in the Australian Hockey League for the first time in 2016.

The AHL 2K16 tournament contains  12 teams including defending champions Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, Malaysian Tigers, Malaysian Blues, New Zealand Futures and India.
The star player Harjeet Singh will take up the Captain’s badge while Dipsan Tirkey will be tagged as the Vice Captain. The Indian team has a strong defence line-up along with talented mid fielders like Mandeep Singh to keep up the forward line active. We have mentioned the complete squad below,

Goalkeepers:

Defenders: Varun Kumar, Dipsan Tirkey (Vice Captain), Gurinder Singh, Vikramjit Singh, Anand Lakra

Ahead of the upcoming Junior World Cup to be held in India in December 2016, this is will a very good exposure event for our boys. This is the first time we have been invited for the AHL and we hope to make the best use of the opportunity,” stated Harendra Singh, Indian Junior Men Hockey Team Coach.
